At the heart of the annual November Squares challenge—a month of daily prompts followed by artists around the world—Sketch Squares has also been used in award-winning work, including pieces recognised by the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours Award and the Derwent Art Prize, as well as work featured on Sky’s Landscape Artist of the Year.
This print features a series of blue abstract watercolour and ink studies, inspired by the sea and shifting light.
Soft washes of watercolour move fluidly through the composition, while fine ink details bring structure and contrast. The combination of techniques gives the piece both lightness and definition, with a subtle seascape feel.
Calm and atmospheric, this print has a soothing presence, offering a refined focal point and bringing a sense of stillness and balance to a space.
A gallery quality giclee limited edition print on 100% cotton rag paper, with archival inks and a hand torn edge. It is signed, titled and numbered.
This a print of my original painting that was selected by the Society of Women Artists for their annual exhibition in 2020.
